Chapter 4

What is the deal that Peeta and Katniss make with Haymitch? Why is Haymitch so important to them?

The deal they make with Haymitch is if they don't interfere with his drinking, he'll stay sober enough to help them in the Games. Haymitch is important to Katniss and Peeta because when they're in the games, he's the only one who can help them win. Haymitch, as their mentor, can get them sponsors.

that he would stay sober enough to function and they promised they would listen and obey he is the one who will bring them food and water and such in the game

FMRHS CAT

Welcome! The FMRHS CAT program is a place where students are able to participate in regular education classes, but in a setting that is smaller and offers additional support to the students than is usually available in a typical classroom. The students are held accountable for three key components: attendance, work ethic, and behavior. Each week the students need to fulfill these requirements to earn additional privileges within the classroom. In the classroom there are three adults; Ms. Holley, Ms. Halley-Streeter and Ms. Labounty. There are currently 17 students from grades 9-12.
This whole blog came about because Ms. Holley had read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, outside of school and fell in love with it! She began reading it with a student in her class, who quickly became equally obsessed and his reaction triggered all of the other students to want to read it. Once they found out the movie was coming out, there was no question... we had to read the book and then as a reward for the three requirements mentioned above, we would be able to go see the movie as a class. I am very excited to see their reactions to this very intense and thought provoking story.
